MADCC is a club for adults, young people, and families. Our members have a range of interests including touring, moving water trips, flat water racing, and sea paddling.

The club’s qualified coaches are able to offer training in many aspects of paddle sport. Regular coaching sessions for beginners and experienced paddlers are held on Monday nights at Bollington and on Thursday nights at Brereton country park from April to September.

Monthly Saturday morning sessions are held throughout the year -weather permitting - at Brereton country park.

In the winter months the club organises Friday night pool sessions in Bollington for members to learn new skills, such as Eskimo rolling, in clean warm water.

MADCC organises the annual 96 mile Cheshire Ring race, hosts an annual NW regional Hasler race, and organises regular monthly trips to moving water and sea paddling trips, as well as occasional weekends away.

Coaching is provided by the club’s qualified coaches and is aimed at levels from complete beginner to those aspiring to gain

personal performance, coaching, or leadership awards.

MADCC runs regular “introduction to moving water” trips on which club members who have mastered the basic skills on flat water can learn and practice moving water skills at locations including Matlock and Llangollen, under the guidance of the club’s experienced coaches.
