Welcome to MADCC

MADCC is a club for adults, young people, and families. Our members have a wide range of paddle sport interests including touring, moving water trips, flat water racing, and sea kayaking. The club’s qualified coaches are able to offer training and assessments for national skills awards in many aspects of paddle sport.

Regular club meetings, with coaching if required, are held on Monday nights at Bollington and on Thursday nights at Brereton country park from April to September.

During the winter pool sessions, sea and river trips continue at weekends. Race boat paddling sessions take place year-round on Sunday mornings and weekday evenings.

The club runs the well-known annual 96 mile Cheshire Ring race, as well as other flat-water races, and also organises regular trips to moving water, camping trips, and pool training sessions.

Thanks to all of the competitors and club helpers who made the Adelphi Hasler race a success on the 12th July.
Results from the race are available from MADCC Forum link. Promotions/demotions are yet to be confirmed by the Marathon ranking officer. A few photos from the event are available from the website gallery.

  • Cheshire Ring Race 2015

Congratulations to all of the paddlers who took part in the 2015 Cheshire Ring Race. A very well done to all those paddlers and teams who completed the challenge. Commiserations to those who were forced to retire - there is always next year. It was good to see familiar faces during the event and it was nice to see the all-ladies junior/senior team from Nottingham (with help from our own Becky Storm) get their name on the relay shield at the third time of trying. A few photos of the event are now posted in the website gallery.
