Welcome to MADCC

MADCC is a club for adults, young people, and families. Our members have a wide range of paddle sport interests including touring, moving water trips, flat water racing, and sea kayaking. The club’s qualified coaches are able to offer training and assessments for national skills awards in many aspects of paddle sport.

Regular club meetings, with coaching if required, are held on Monday nights at Bollington and on Thursday nights at Brereton country park from April to September.

During the winter pool sessions, sea and river trips continue at weekends. Race boat paddling sessions take place year-round on Sunday mornings and weekday evenings.

The club runs the well-known annual 96 mile Cheshire Ring race, as well as other flat-water races, and also organises regular trips to moving water, camping trips, and pool training sessions.

A reminder that regular evening club sessions restart at Bollington on Monday 14th April and at Brereton on Thursday 16th April.

The 2015 club calendar is now populated with trips and events for 2015 - please use the calendar to see what is planned, and check the Forum for last-minute updates.

Over the winter the Cheshire Ring team has been busy updating the rules  - major changes for 2015 are that senior (over 18y) women can no longer paddle as 'juniors' in the 5-pair relay, and the Congleton changeover point has been moved to Dodds Lane, Astbury. All the new documentation is now on the Cheshire Ring Race page of the website.
